Danny Glover was born in San Francisco, California, to a middle class family. Growing up, Glover didn’t know what he wanted to do, and spent his early life working for the city. However, after finding theater, Glover became a star after appearing in Lethal Weapon. He is one of the best known actors of our time, and is also a political activist.
During Glover’s childhood, he dealt with dyslexia. During Glover’s childhood, he struggled reading, and school was very challenging. Because his dyslexia wasn’t diagnosed for a while, Glover has said he felt “inadequate.” However, he overcame this, and still became a very successful actor.
Glover has spoken about his struggles with dyslexia, and also done work in his community, talking to children about his experiences with dyslexia. He is a great role model and leader for all those who are struggling with dyslexia.
