P Diddy

Sean Combs, aka P Diddy, was born in Harlem. He went to Howard University, before dropping out and pursuing a rap career. His first album, No Way Out, went platinum, and today Combs has won 3 grammys and released albums like Forever and The Last Train to Paris.

Combs dealt with a lot of trauma as a child. When he was 2, his dad was shot and killed. This left Combs without a dad, and left him to be raised in poverty with a single mother. However, Combs overcame this challenge, and became one of the most successful rappers in the world.

Combs showed everybody that even with a single mom, or even if you lose a parent at a young age, you can still become successful. He has talked about his struggles with a single mom, and showed the world that if you work hard and persevere, you can overcome that struggle.
