J Balvin was born in Medellin, Columbia, in a relatively rich family. He listened to a lot of music as a kid, and wanted to be a singer. He achieved his dream, finding success in 2014 with his track called 6 AM, and today he has won 6 Latin Grammys, and is one of the most famous Latin Artists.
During his life, J Balvin has dealt with depression and anxiety. He has talked about his depression, and how sometimes he felt like he was just “waiting to die.” However, he was able to overcome his anxiety and depression and become a hugely successful singer.
J Balvin has been a great advocate for mental health. He has talked about the stigma in Latin culture around mental health, and talked about how important it is to break that stigma down. He continues to be a great role model for everyone dealing with mental health struggles.
