Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera was born in Staten Island, in a military family. Growing up, her father was abusive, and when she was 6, she moved in with her grandma. Aguilera rose to fame with her single Reflection, and today has had number 1 singles like Genie in a Bottle and What a Girl Wants.

In her life, Aguilera has dealt with a lot of trauma. She went through abuse as a young girl, and during her teenage years, Aguilera dealt with disordered eating. She would hate the way she looked, and change her eating patterns wildly. When she was skinny, she would feel insecure, and it affected her self esteem.

However, Aguilera overcame her eating disorders, and became one of the most successful musicians in the world. She has been an advocate for healthy eating and body positivity, and encouraged young women across the world to love themselves.
