Eminem grew up in Detroit, Michigan, in a very poor family. Growing up, he always wanted to be a rapper, but struggled due to an unstable home life. After starting his career in underground clubs, he had his breakthrough album, The Marshall Mathers LP in 1999. Since then, Eminem has won 15 Grammys and is the best selling artist of the 2000s.
During his life, Eminem has struggled with bullying and depression. In school, Eminem would get beat up by bullies, and struggled to fit in. He also has struggled with depression, dealing with a very hard life and even a suicide attempt. Eminem was able to overcome his depression though, and still get to where he is today.
Eminem has been open about his struggles, making a song called Bully, and talking about his depression. He has also talked about how he got through it, and is a great role model and inspiration to everybody struggling with bullying and mental health.
