Keira Knightley

Keira Knightley was born in a suburb of London, the daughter of 2 actors. From a young age, Knightley was interested in acting, and was in small productions as a child. In 2001, when she was 16, she had her first major role in Princess of Thieves. Since then, she has been in movies like Bend it like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean, and is one of the most well known actors today.

As a child, Knightley dealt with severe dyslexia, and had a lot of trouble reading and writing. When she was trying to start her acting career, Knightley initially struggled to gain roles, because she would struggle to read and memorize scripts. However, she overcame her dyslexia, and got to where she is today.

Knightley is a great inspiration for all those who struggle with dyslexia. She has shown that even with dyslexia, you can still have a great, successful life, even in an industry that requires some reading.
