Jennifer Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California, to an upper middle class family. She started acting at a young age, and found her breakthrough role in the hit show Friends. She continued to act after Friends, appearing in movies like The Break Up and Marley and Me, and today she is one of the most famous actors in the world.
As a child, Aniston dealt with both dyslexia and eating disorders. She said dyslexia affected her self esteem, and made her question herself. Her eating disorders also caused her to not eat, and try to be super skinny. However, Aniston overcame both of these challenges, and got to where she is today.
Aniston has been very open about her struggles, and talked about destigmatizing both. She talked about the importance of diagnosing dyslexia, and the importance of changing body standards. She continues to be a great role model and inspiration for all those dealing with these challenges.
