Vanessa Hudgens was born in Salinas, California, into a middle class family. Growing up, she did theater, and wanted to be an actress. She had her breakthrough role in High School Musical in 2006. Since then, she has been in movies like Second Act and Bad Boys for Life, and has also released 2 studio albums.
Hudgens dealt with some challenges during her life though, losing a parent at a relatively young age. Her dad in 2016, and it made performing very hard for her. Hudgens overcame this sadness though, and still has had a great career.
Hudgens has spoken about her experiences recently, and been open about the effects losing a parent had on her. She is a great role model who has shown that you can still be very successful even if you lose a parent when you’re young.
